Acapella’s Comedy Show To Mark 5th Anniversary

It’s unarguable that Comedy Goes to Church with Ace Comedian, Acapella, is one of the biggest and most anticipated gospel shows in Nigeria today.

This year’s edition has however promised to be more entertaining as the originator and CEO of Purple Roof Entertainment, who also doubles as Cidars Home ambassador, Benneth Chinedu Daniel, better known as Acapella will be having his fifth year anniversary of Comedy Goes to Church come February. The controversy free comedian is ready to dish out lots of gifts as the event will be having a raffle draw.

The Imo State born rib cracker has promised to make this year’s event even more memorable than others as he will be dragging lots of celebrities to the event.

The previous editions have witnessed some of the big names in the entertainment industry, such as Helen Paul, Seyi Law, Yaw, Elenu, MC Shakara, Gordons, and the rave of the moment sensational singer and Headies Next Rated Nominee, Humble Smith. MC Acapella is one of Nigeria’s top comedians.

He registered his name in the industry after winning the third edition of AY’s Open Mic Challenge. He has been able to carve a niche for himself with his style of comedy devoid of vulgarity. This year’s event is slated for February 28 2017 at David Christian Center Amuo Odofin ,Lagos.

I Met My Wife Funke Akindele Through 'Jenifer's Diary'- JJC

Actor, singer and music producer, JJC has disclosed how he met his beautiful and talented Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, in a recent chat with the Punch, JJC said me met his wife through her TV idea, 'Jenifer's Diary. He said:

As an entertainer , what has marriage changed about you ?

It has made me more focused . It has also given me more stability and peace of mind.

You once said that you were wary of any kind of emotional attachment , why did you decide to get married to Funke Akindele ?
In life , when you find the right person , nobody needs to tell you to settle down . It is like finding God ; you may be a bad boy in the club today, and the next day, you ’re in front of the church shouting ‘Halleluyah . ’ Nobody can determine when that change will happen, and I’ m very happy that it has happened to me .

How did you meet your wife ?

She had an idea called Jenifa’s Diary that she wanted to do , and she was looking for a good director and cameraman , so she called me to help her shoot the TV series , and that was how we met .


Was it love at first sight ?

Absolutely , it was an instant connection . In fact , it was love at first sight. I saw her , she saw me and, we saw stars . From that point on , everything was aligned.
What were the qualities you saw in her that made you know she is the one ?
Ask every single man that is married, they will tell you the same thing . It is the same qualities that everybody wants .

So what are those qualities ?

To be honest , I do not want to talk about my personal life . My wife is my baby and I cherish her a lot . If I start giving you all the secrets, people may want to snatch her from me .

The truth is I work really hard all the time, and a lot of the people I dated in the past used to complain that I did not devote time to them . But now , I have found my better-half who works as hard as I do, so it is a perfect combination , and the world is in trouble because we are the perfect team . As I am playing music , she is making me laugh. We have the perfect synergy , and what we are working on right now will blow people’ s minds away . And I want to advise people in the entertainment industry to go and look for their better- half within the same industry, because it will give you more focus and direction.

But many people feel inter - marriages in the entertainment industry do not work , can you share some of what you have discovered that can help them?


Pray to God for direction because I did a lot of prayers and God answered . Different things work for different people. All I know is that God has given me what works for me .

Police arraign unemployed man for stealing groundnut oil

A 25- year - old unemployed man , Stanley Adeyunju , has been brought before a Badagry Chief Magistrates ’ Court, Lagos , for allegedly stealing three cartons of groundnut oil on New Year’s eve .

According to the News Agency of Nigeria , Adeyunju of 24, Wilfred Str. IyanAfin Area of Badagry , was arraigned on one count charge of stealing on Friday .

The Prosecutor , Innocent Uko , told the court that the accused stole the items belonging to MorenikeBadmus on December 31, 2016, at a shopping complex located at the Ajara area of Badagry.

“ The accused stole the cartons of groundnut oil under the pretence that he wanted to purchase them . Instead of paying , he ran away with the items but was caught afterwards, ” he said.

He said the offence contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

Counsel to the accused , Timothy Ukoha , urged the court to grant bail to the accused on liberal terms noting that his client would not jump bail.

The Magistrate, Mr . Abiodun Etti , granted the accused bail in the sum of N 50,000 with a surety who must provide evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government .

Etti adjourned the case till March 17 for further hearing .

According to a close source, Ini Edo is engaged to oil magnate, Mr Stanley Uzochukwu who the chairman of Stanel Oil, the source also claimed that Stanley is still married to one Irene and the couple are blessed with kids

Meanwhile, the one--time married actress is yet to release an official statement on this issue.

Ubi Franklin ex plan why He Sold Iyanya's Triple MG Share To Paul Okoye

Embattled CEO, Triple MG, Ubi Franklin, has confirmed that he indeed sold 50% shares of singer Iyanya’s shares in Triple MG to Paul Okoye.

This confirmation was made after Tekno, an artiste under the label, took to Instagram to reveal that the CEO Upfront & Personal, now “owns 50% of MMMG”.

Ubi, who spoke to Thecable Lifestyle , revealed that he bought Iyanya’s shares in the company after he exited the label in August 2016, before finally selling to Paul O.

In his words:
Ubi Franklin, also added that a press conference to talk about the recent developments in the company, will soon be held.

“When Iyanya was leaving, I bought over his shares so I owned 100% of the company so I sold those shares to Paul Okoye of Upfront and Personal.”
“Paul Okoye now owns part of MMMG.”

MMM Nigeria releases new guidelines for participants in 2017

In expectation of January 14 relaunch of the ponzi scheme, MMM Nigeria has released new guidelines for participants for 2017, Nigerian Bulletin reports.
