Man 25, Dumps 6-Months Old Daughter In A Dustbin In Calabar


Sunday Imoh , 25, was paraded by the Cross Rivers State Police Command yesterday for allegedly dumping his six -month old baby girl in a public dustbin at Edim -Otop , Calabar .

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, who paraded Imoh, said that Sunday supposedly put the baby in a carton and dumped her by the road side after a fight with the mother over the youngster’s upkeep .
The commissioner of Police said that ;

“ On June 6 at around 12noon , one Emem Edet (23 ) went out at 25 , Edim- Otop Street with her offspring of around six months old to visit her sweetheart and natural father of her youngster, Sunday Imoh who dwells at 100 , Edim- Otop Street .

She went to gather cash for the upkeep of the kid , yet he declined to give her . This made her to forsake the tyke with him.
Shockingly , the next day, the said Sunday Imoh asserted that he put the kid in a container and dumped her close to the dustbin along the road . Up till now , no data on the whereabouts of the tyke is accessible. He has admitted and will be charged to court . ”

Sunday , in his confessional statement said that , he went out after the mother had abandoned the baby with him . “ She was just crying over and over again . I took her outside with the hope that the mother would go and pick her up but I was surprised when they said that she was missing, ”
