Former Bayelsa State Commissioner For Transport, Marie Ebikake Kidnapped By Gun Men


Former Commissioner for Transport in Bayelsa State, Mrs Marie Ebikake has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

According to reports, the ex-commissioner was abducted in the early hours of today at her residence in Igbogene area of the state. It was gathered that some days ago, hoodlums invaded her residence in Brass, but did not take anything.

The caretaker chairman Brass Local Government Hon. Victor Isaiah has expressed shock over the kidnap describing the condemnable act as evil, wicked and horrible.

Hon. Victor Isaiah in a statement shortly after receiving the unfortunate news, said he was awed and shocked by the news of the kidnapping of Hon. (Mrs.) Marie Ebikake from her residence in Igbogene, Yenagoa in the early hours of today, January 14, 2018 at about 1:30am. In the statement, the Brass council boss mentioned how horrific an experience Honourable Ebikake will be subjected to in the hands of her abductors who he described as uncultured criminals.

The statement also sympathized with the Ebikake's especially the aged Mr. Ebikake, husband of Hon. (Mrs.) Marie over the unfortunate incidence. He prayed God to provide them the fortitude to face this trying times.
