Baby Nathaniel Adeoye is Crowned Baby of The Year 2019!Cussons Baby Moments 6 winner is her,e!







It’s official! We have our Baby of the Year at the Cussons Baby Moments 6! Baby Nathaniel Adeoye emerged as the winner of the competition at a glamorous grand finale event which held at the Radisson Blu, Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday, December 1st 2019.



Following tough deliberations by the independent panel of judges, comprising veteran Nollywood actress, Ufuoma McDermott; fast-rising Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon; and food and lifestyle blogger Yemisi Odusanya, popularly known as Sisi Yemmie, Baby Nathaniel Adeoye was crowned the Cussons Baby of the Year 2019, winning the grand prize of 1 million naira and a year’s supply of Cussons Baby products.

The 1st runner-up was Baby Lewis Grant, who won a prize of N750, 000 and a year’s supply of Cussons Baby products while the 2nd runner-up was Baby Einstein Durosinmi, who won N500, 000 and a year’s supply of Cussons Baby products. In the Special Categories, Oluwadarasimi Olaniyan won Best Concept and Composition; Louisa Fabiyi won the prize for Best Candid Shot, and Praise Nsed-Ogar went home with the prize for Best Toothy Smile. The special category winners each received N50, 000 and a 6-month supply of Cussons Baby products.

This year’s edition of the much-anticipated Cussons Baby Moments 6 competition witnessed a number of changes to the mechanics of the competition in a bid to ease the stress on the participants. These changes included the introduction of a multiple entry system in which participants were entitled to enter for the competition multiple times. The event was well-attended and included members of the PZ Leadership team, as well as the brand team which included Human Resources Director (Africa), PZ Cussons, Joyce Coker; Dipo Dawodu, Finance Director, PZ Cussons Consumer SBU, PZ Cussons; Head of Marketing, PZ Cussons Consumer SBU, PZ Cussons, Charles Nnochiri; Group Brand Development and Activation Manager, Personal Care, Charity Ilevbare-Adeniji; Brand Manager, Cussons Baby, Yosola Nwachukwu, amongst others.

Sharing her excitement on yet another successful edition of the Cussons Baby Moments Competition was Yosola Nwachukwu, Brand Manager, Cussons Baby, who congratulated all the winners and participants involved.

“I am particularly pleased with the outcome of this year’s edition of Cussons Baby Moments because we set out to deliver on a transcendent competition and we achieved that, and even exceeded expectations. This year’s edition of the Cussons Baby Moments saw a record-breaking number of entries which is a testament to the trust and connection our consumers have with the brand.

Through this edition, not only did we create magical memories, we also shared them with amazing families across the country, rewarding them at every opportunity in the process. I’d like to say congratulations to the winner of the competition. I’d also like to say a massive thanks to all the participants for making this such a special competition. Rest assured, we will continue to raise the bar for many more years to come,” she said.

The brand’s plans to revamp the competition to make it more engaging and rewarding following a year’s break paid off as it recorded a record-breaking 10,308 participants enter the race to win the prestigious Baby of the Year award, during the course of 7 weeks. Over 400,000 votes were received during the voting stages, after which the Top 100 babies emerged and were subject to careful assessment by the celebrity judges who evaluated them based on set criteria to determine the Top 10 Finalists.


Expressing her excitement was Mrs Adeoye, Baby Nathaniel’s mother, could not hide her joy and was full of praises, as her baby was crowned the Cussons Baby of the Year 2019:

“I would like to thank Cussons Baby for creating such a special moment for me and my family. I could not believe it when my baby was announced as the winner of the competition. Thanks to Cussons Baby, my baby is a little millionaire, and I am extremely grateful,” she said.
