The Ghanaian landlord who shot his tenant dead for refusing to vacate his property at the expiration of his tenancy, has been identified as Victor Stephen Nana Kankam.
LIB reported earlier that the landlord shot and killed 31-year-old Kobby on Monday, May 25, after meeting him in his room at Ofankor Spot M in Accra.
The underground musician had stayed back at the apartment after being unable to conclude packing his items.
While being interrogated by the police, the suspect said he killed his tenant in self-defence. He also mentioned one Mr ‘Kanani’, the head of the CID at Mamprobi police station as the one who gave him the guns he used in shooting his tenant.
Kankam said the CID officer gave him the weapons when his house was burgled in 2008.
