Who Remember Evi Edna Ogholi, The Real Reggae Queen Of Nigeria

Before, Cynthia Morgan, Burna Boy, Patoranking and the rest new reggae musicians in Nigeria, there was a queen, who against all odds made her way into the heart of Nigerians with her ever green songs, Evi Edna Ogholi.
There's this popular birthday song that is almost played in every birthday party you attend these days, whenever the song that comes on, people can't help but dance and sing to it.
It was one of those ubiquitous songs that you knew the lyrics from top to bottom without making a conscious effort to memorize
I was born in the 90s and I grew up listening to this legend, Evi Edna Ogholi, a phenomenal African Queen of Reggae Music In Nigeria.
Lots of us till date still sing to one of her best songs back then "Happy birthday".
Many grew up not know the face or name behind that great song, but today, I want to refresh our memories with one of Nigerians best ever green singer, Evi Edna Ogholi.
I remember as a kid then, I basically didn't know or understand what she was singing, but I loved her songs, especially, "Ririovara", "Obaro" and "Jealousy". Our Isoko neighbors then played it a lot and I guessed that was where the likeness came from.
Infact, whenever, I has issues with my friends then, I will just start sing to "Jealousy" even though I didn't know the complete lyrics.
This legendary Delta state born talented Reggae singer rocked the Nigeria music airwaves back in the 90ths, giving Nigerians that feeling of originity with her unique vioce.
Even after about two decades, Edna remains the real Queen of Reggae Music In Nigeria, no one, I mean, absolutely no one has beaten that records.
Forget about what Cynthia Morgan and the rest are doing, the come back of Evi Edna Ogholi would literally send them back to incubator.

Edna was born on May 6, 1965, she was said to have started out singing in a church choir in her home town, Isoko.
After she completed her secondary school at almost 20years, three years later Edna Ogholi invades the Nigerian music industry.
After her many successes as the first female reggae music and Queen of reggae in Nigeria, it was reported that Ogholi's blossoming career was threatened by her violent marriage with her husband, Emma Ogosi.
Emma Ogosi was her former manager and producer before becoming her husband. So you see that artiste and manager love didn't start today.
Following the crisis in her marriage, Edna Ogholi reportedly fled Nigeria as a result of a acrimoniously violent marriage with Emma Ogosi.
In a bid to find happiness, Edna Ogholi relocated to France where she found a new home and yes, she's still in France.
However, many didn't know that in March 2017 she released an album titled, 'Peace and Love' and the follow up 'Peace In The World' in 2018.
Edna Ogholi is one musician everyone would love to see again. it's won't be a bad idea if we have the old and new school give us something special.
Having Evi Edna Ogholi, Patoranking, Burna Boy and or Cynthia Morgan do a new school collaboration with Evi Edna Ogholi would be one of the greatness feelings ever in the Nigeria music industry.
