A family has been thrown into mourning after two of their sons aged 26 and 23 drowned while having fun celebrating Christmas day at Ibeshe Beach, Lagos state.
According to reports, the Adegboyega brothers left their home in Festac town to celebrate the Yuletide at the beach with friends. Trouble started when it was noticed that they were drowning. Efforts by their friends and local divers to rescue them proved abortive, after which the incident was reported to the police.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said that detectives visited the scene of the incident and that efforts are being made to find the bodies of the deceased brothers.
He added that the family of the late brothers has since been contacted and informed of the sad incident.
