In an exclusive interview with popular journalist, Gbolahan Adetayo, the young and talented daughter of Afolabi shared the challenges she has been facing since her father’s passing.

“It hasn’t been easy since his departure. If you know the story, you’ll understand that it was difficult for me to be close to him when he was alive. However, he later brought me closer to him, and we became best of friends. Even at my tender age, he loved me dearly, but I loved him even more. He was a man with a heart of gold, and his untimely demise has left a deep void. Each time I remember that I no longer have a father, I experience immense trauma.

Sometimes, the memories overwhelm me to the point of fainting. When I regain consciousness, those who rescue me often report that I call out for my father. I bless God for the great mother i have, she’s always standing beside me.Sometimes, I behaves naughty but still correcting me. It’s been exactly one year today, and the reality of his absence weighs heavily on me. I miss him dearly. May his soul continue to rest in peace,” she said.
