We Did Not Invite The Chinese Doctors To Nigeria -Federal Government

The Minister Of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire has denied that the federal government of Nigeria ever invited the 16 Chinese doctors to Nigeria.


The minister who made this claim while appearing as a guest on Channels TV News at 10, said the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) brought the doctors to help the federal government.

The minister also revealed that the doctors are presently in isolation and they will soon start a video conference with them to learn something from them.

Here's what he said:
"I think in the first place we didn't bring them in, and I think China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) in its wisdom and probably in its corporate social responsibility thought they should bring people in to come and help us and give advice"

Ehanire further added that the government did not issue the invite of the doctors to Nigeria.

"We didn't issue an invitation, but we are not unhappy that they are here because we can learn from their experience. These people have been through it, and we want to start with a video conference with them even while they are isolated so that we can try to learn from their experience" There is nothing better than learning from someone who has actually suffered an event and been inflicted with an injury "

This claim by the government is coming days after Nigerians took to their various social media handle to express their displeasure over the arrival of the 16 Chinese doctors in Nigeria which many believes it's not necessary since we have less cases of Covid-19 in the country.

Recall that the government few days back after the arrival of the Chinese doctors said that 2m dollars was spent to bring them to Nigeria.
